Hi Reader, Often in our newsletter I share with you the hardships that our families are facing in Gaza. Those hardships are still very much present, but today I want to offer a roundup of good news from our families and volunteers. Together, as a collective, we are making an impact. Take a moment to celebrate with us the following good news! πΆπ½Oday and Rawan recently welcomed their second child, baby Rayan, into the world! Mom, Dad, and big brother Yaman are so proud. If you would like to contribute towards expenses for their growing family, you can do that here. πMany of our families have celebrated birthdays recently, and some have been able to offer small celebrations they couldn't obtain this time last year. π« Rewaa, who was a beekeeper before the genocide began, has partnered with Coffees for Gaza volunteer Rebecca Mary to create the Zhourat tea blend. Rewaa describes the Palestinian tea blend as "infused with love, comfort, and generosity." The Zhourat blend is designed to help adults, children, and pregnant women to "feel held and relaxed." The tea can be shipped worldwide, though shipping is most affordable within Australia. Learn more here. β π Our first Coffees for Gaza calendar raised approximately 1,000 GBP for our families! Special thanks to Patricia Gunn for pulling this project together, to the artists who contributed their work, and to the volunteers who sold the calendar. π Nour's family was able to move from a tent into an apartment. She wrote on Instagram "Today, I thank God for a simple blessing: a home to begin this year in. Walls that offer safety, and a quiet moment of gratitude after so much noise. My children are my greatest miracle, the light that carried me through the darkest nights. I pray God protects them, surrounds them with peace, Help our community grow: invite a friend to join our email list! The main way that Coffees for Gaza grows is through word-of-mouth recommendations from people like you. Invite a friend to join our email list and learn about our work by sharing this page with them. They'll receive a beautiful piece of downloadable art from Billy Ruffian when they sign up.
Two unclaimed Peacetober auction items are still available! We need your help to wrap up the Peacetober 2025 Auction! We have two unclaimed items. Our auction volunteers have done our due diligence to contact the winning bidders for these pieces but have failed to reach them. We invite our community to claim the loss in pledged amounts for our families. Our Peacetober auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Families need as much support as we're able to direct to them. Please help us recover the loss by claiming these items. These lost pledges may seem small but every contribution matters! If you would like to purchase one of these unclaimed items, please send a direct message to Coffees for Gaza on Instagram, or reply to this email. With love and solidarity, Rebekah Gienapp and the Coffees for Gaza team β βInvite a friend to subscribe | Coffees for Gaza on Instagram | Family Sponsor Programβ |

Hi Reader, When I first "met" Nourhan's family, it was through an Instagram video of her daughter Najat, then 4 years old, enthusiastically cooking in their tent. She had such a sweet and hopeful spirit, despite all the trauma that she, her mother, and her little brother Mohammed had been through. Over the last two years, I've lost count of how many times Nourhan and her children were displaced. They had several brushes with violence that were incredibly close calls. Through it all, Nourhan...
Hi Reader, Today I'd like to tell you more about one of our 25 families: Fadi, his wife Alaa, and their three daughters: Danya (age 13), Kinda (age 10), and Leen (age 7.) Fadi and Alaa often call the girls their "flowers." The family's original home is in Gaza City, and it was destroyed in the early days of the war. Fadi worked for a large bank as a International Investment Consultant. Before the genocide began, Alaa was hoping to open a shop. During the war, they were displaced multiple...
Hi Reader, As we get settled into this new year, I want to share an update on Coffees for Gaza that you have missed during the holiday hustle and bustle. Coffees for Gaza is entering a period of transition, both in terms of how we financially support families and in terms of our volunteer leadership. We need your help to ensure that our work continues, so that we can fulfill the commitment we have made to our 25 families in Gaza. Impact Step #1: Become a monthly Family Sponsor For as little...
